The new Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli is "genius China" and is relied upon to keep closer ties with the Communist country in spite of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's endeavors to support ties with it, as per the Chinese official media

"(Leader Narendra) Modi has tried endeavors to grow benevolent relations with neighboring nations since he came to office (in May a year ago). This has added to the change of discretionary scene of South Asian countries," said an article in the State-run Global Times.

The article, titled 'Nepal warms toward China as new Beijing-accommodating coalition takes force', said the past coalition government headed by Nepali Congress Party (NCP) was "usually seen as master India" while Mr Oli is "professional China".

It said, "Rather than keeping a separation from India, they (South Asian countries) are step by step moving to strike a harmony in the middle of India and China. This is the wide provincial environment Nepal is confronting. In spite of this, Kathmandu under Oli's administration is required to keep closer ties with Beijing."

"Numerous Nepalese are amicable and willing to participate with Beijing. Kathmandu, under Oli administration is required to have close ties with Beijing which is to the event of both the countries," it said.

Until Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) came to power, Nepal, for the most part led by the NCP, which was an "intense devotee of New Delhi while staying lukewarm towards Beijing.

On the other hand, CPN in spite of its transient in office, changed the country's disposition towards India and China," said the article composed by Xu Liang, Executive Director at the India Studies Center of the State-run Beijing International Studies University.
