"Tathastu" is about Basanti who is mishandled by her spouse. The film about abusive behavior at home and conjugal assault is an account of a normal Nepali lady mishandled by her spouse. Basanti's spouse, Kamal, is a persuasive political figure. Kamal sexually mishandle Basanti before marriage and it proceeds after the marriage.
