I need to say that I wasn't too certain Apple Kuchen when I began assembling it. I didn't question that it would be divine… I mean, apples and custard inside a sweet outside layer… .better believe it, that is great, obvi. This seemed like it would be the skyscraper cousin to the low-ascent Alsatian Apple Tart. It's simply that I didn't get off to a decent begin making it.

The covering was sufficiently simple to make and take off, yet let me let you know that getting a delicate, sensitive outside layer squeezed conveniently into a tall springform skillet is a torment in the, guess what. It was sufficiently disappointing that the mixture broke into like a 1,000 pieces, yet while I was squeezing them back together into something roughly taking after an outside layer, the fasten on said springform chose to pop and now won't stay shut (really, now it's in the reuse container). Ugh. I expected to run with it by then, so I put a tight elastic band around the container to hold it shut, cleaned treat morsels on the base, heaped it brimming with apples and hurled it in the broiler to standard heat. Not my most splendid thought, as inside of a couple of minutes, the elastic band popped in the warmth and the lock opened in once more, breaking the hull
