Jan 19, 2016-Nawayug Shrestha's cap trap offered Nepal some assistance with securing a position in the finals of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup in the wake of trouncing Maldives 4-1 in the semi finals match played at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Tuesday. Nawayug opened the scoring in the 31st moment after he scored off a bounce back after Bimal Gharti Magar's shot ricocheted off the post. Bishal Rai multiplied the lead in the 52nd moment. Nawayug stole the show as he packed away his first ever global cap trap and scored a screamer to give Nepal a three-objective pad in the stoppage time. For Maldives, Nashid Ahmed pulled one back as a relief in the 77th moment. Nepal will play the last match of the competition with Bahrain on Friday.
