Prachanda, byname of Pushpa Kamal Dahal (conceived Dec. 11, 1954, Lewadi, Nepal), Nepali rebel pioneer and legislator who headed the Maoist rebellion that finished Nepal's government and built up the nation as a vote based republic, which he served as its first PM (2008–09).

Pushpa Kamal Dahal was naturally introduced to a poor cultivating family in the sloping Kaski area of focal Nepal. At age 11 he moved with his family to Chitwan area, where a teacher influenced him in socialism. In 1975 he moved on from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science in Rampur, Chitwan region.

In 1980 Prachanda (a nom de guerre signifying "wild") was tasked with driving the All Nepal National Free Students' Union (Revolutionary), which was associated with the radical Communist Party of Nepal (Masal), or CPN (Masal [meaning "fire" in Nepalese]). In 1983 he was chosen to the focal council of the CPN (Masal), which soon split into the CPN (Masal) and the CPN (Fourth Convention). In 1985 the CPN (Masal) isolated once more, into the CPN (Masal) and the CPN (Mashal ["flame" in Sanskrit]). Prachanda joined the last, turning into an individual from the politburo and ascending to the position of general secretary in 1989. A few liberal gatherings converged in 1990 to shape the CPN (Unity Center), with Prachanda as a general secretary, yet in 1994 it additionally split in two. In March 1995 Prachanda renamed his branch to mirror its Maoist leanings—the Communist Party of Nepal
