The Koshi Barrage is a Nepalese surge control conduit over the Koshi River in Mithila area of Nepal. It was worked some place around 1958 and 1962. It has 56 doors which are controlled by Nepal Army and officers imported from India. Downstream of the impact near the periphery with India, Indian government has made a barrier which can make surges and diverse issues in Nepal.

The advancement of a high dam near the Koshi Barrage has been considered.But Nepal government and the lion's share of nepalese people are not eager about building it

In August , the eastern banks of the Koshi Barrage fallen, a couple of miles north of the Nepal-India edge. The consequent surge left around 100,000 people down and out in Nepal and millions in Bihar.
